In 2008, one year after the launch of Ukrainian girl group A.R.M.I.A, the same label, Mamamusic, launches a second girl group. While both groups inject their performances with lots of sex appeal, A.R.M.I.A started as a larger group that tends to emphasize choreographed dancing, while NikitA started as a two-member group with heavy emphasis on eroticism.
The group members are Yulia Kavtaradze, who had just left A.R.M.I.A and had her baby, and Dasha Astafieva, who had already been featured in Playboy Ukraine as Playmate of the Year, was soon to appear as Miss January 2009 in the U.S. version of Playboy, and would become Hugh Hefner's girlfriend around the same time that she appeared in the U.S. version.
